Vision: The vision of political science department is to foster a community of scholars, students, and practitioners who are dedicated to understanding, analyzing, and positively impacting political systems to create a more just and democratic society.

 

Mission: The mission of the department is to provide high-quality education, conduct impactful research, and contribute to the development of informed and engaged citizens who can actively participate in shaping political processes, policy-making, and society as a whole.

 

Values: A commitment to rigorous research, analysis, and teaching that advances knowledge and understanding of political phenomena.

 

Objectives:  The department’s primary objectives are to study and understand the theory and practice of politics, governments, and political systems. This includes examining the various political institution, processes, ideologies, and power dynamics that shape societies both domestically and internationally. The departments aim to equip students with the knowledge and analytical skills necessary for critically analyzing political phenomena and contributing to informed decision-making, public policy, and civic participation.

 

History: The department of political Science was established in the year 1987. The department has a promising team of young faculty members. The department currently offers BA degree courses.
